A thing of beauty is a joy forever.

____________
Welcome
Hi, I’m Angela Toledo, owner of Artistica Interiors, a residential design and decorating firm based in Haddonfield New Jersey.
CLIENTS
I work with professional and retired suburban homeowners who live in Southern New Jersey and beyond who dream of having a beautiful, comfortable and updated home that expresses their individuality and brings them joy. My clients desire spaces that function optimally and align aesthetically with how they see themselves in the world. Yet, they don’t always have the vision, know how, or interest in managing the process themselves. This is where I step in and become a trusted guide in this very personal journey of making a house a home. I approach each client and home with fresh eyes, since no two people or homes are exactly alike.
APPROACH
As a small firm, I am hands on with each project, ensuring a meaningful experience with utmost care and attention to detail. I bring with me a vetted roster of professionals, such as builders, painters, workrooms and more. This means while you’ll work directly with me, you’ll have access to a whole team of artisans.
DESIGN EXPERIENCE
Many of my clients are experts in their fields who value working with a degreed professional with over twenty years of experience to guide them within a proven collaborative process. They feel at ease knowing that together we will achieve their goals, whether they be entertaining family and friends in style, working in a home office space that truly works for them, creating a bedroom sanctuary, or renovating a kitchen or bath with a design that will stand the test of time and support vibrant modern life. The experience of working with me will be a process that will not only transform your home, it will elevate your life.

“Angela is awesome! We've hired Angela to design and decorate our family room, living room, dining room, and kitchen. She is a dream to work with! She takes all the family's needs in mind, and she sticks to time schedules and budgets. Most recently, she "refreshed" our family room and kitchen by helping us choose paint colors, window treatments, and accessories. Angela has been our "go to" designer for over 15 years! Can't wait to meet up with her to design our bathroom remodels! We've recommended her to our neighbors and they loved her, too!”

“Artistica Interiors truly understood our design needs after our initial conversation. Angela consistently provided us with great choices of colors and designs but also talked us through the choices themselves. We never felt overwhelmed with too many choices because she understood our taste and needs which made her suggestions more effective and supportive to our vision. Great partner to have when you are ready to bring life and design to your home.”

I’m an artistic soul at heart and a lifelong learner
BEGINNINGS
My passion for art and design started at a young age. I grew up in a family of five, the middle sister between two brothers. My parents immigrated from Guatemala in the early 70’s. Growing up, we took yearly trips to visit family overseas. The lush natural landscapes and history of craftsmanship and artistry is evident everywhere in the country, from the hand loomed Mayan textiles to the colors and textures of the flora and fauna. Vacations were a feast for the senses!
EDUCATION
I excelled at school and after interning at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Philadelphia and earning a degree in Communications from the University of Pennsylvania, I went on to pursue a Master’s Degree in Interior Architecture and Design from Drexel University. It’s funny how life can circle around. Twenty years later, in the Spring of 2019, I was asked to teach an interiors studio course at Drexel’s Westphal College of Media Arts and Design. I continue to serve as a juror for the course and find it rewarding to help young designers find their voice and grow.
BUSINESS
Today, after helping hundreds of clients in the Southern New Jersey region and beyond, I’ve been the proud owner of my own design firm since 2017. I chose the name Artistica (“artistic” in Spanish) as a nod to my parent’s Guatemalan heritage. All of those overseas trips and other travels have informed my design eye and aesthetic. Let’s just say, color is my friend!
WHEN I’M NOT DESIGNING
I play classical piano and am a soprano singer in the Greater South Jersey Chorus, and am active in the local Philadelphia/Southern NJ design community. I stay abreast of the latest in furniture and home design by attending High Point Furniture Market yearly, including a trip in the Fall of 2017 as part of the VIP Soft Design Lab Tour with 20 distinguished designers from around the country.
GRATITUDE
I love how design combines my love of beauty and creativity with the ability to serve clients and establish meaningful and long lasting relationships with them and with my valued tradespeople and vendors. It is a true joy living in a town like Haddonfield where the arts are supported and valued. I consider myself very lucky to be in a profession where I use my creative talents to help clients live in homes and surroundings that are uplifting, joyful, and beautiful.
