Every Fall and Spring, thousands of designers and buyers converge in the city of High Point North Carolina for the greatest furnishings trade show in the world, the High Point Market. Compromised of thousands of square feet of showroom displays, and in typical years hosting an influx of more than 75,000 visitors, Market is a feast for the senses.

I love living in my small town of Haddonfield NJ. Every Saturday morning during the summer months, there is a Farmer’s Market in King’s Court, the town center. Live music streams in from the gazebo at the end of the brick courtyard, while two rows of trees provide shade from the hot sun. A heart shaped metal sculpture at the end of the block is a popular place for photos.

My sweet mom has bestowed many blessings and gifts to me throughout my life, but one recent gift has stood out. Always a life long reader, she told me about a book she was reading called “The Artist’s Way” by Julia Cameron and said that I simply MUST read it.

When I was in second grade, my family moved from a suburb of Philadelphia to Cinnaminson New Jersey, a small town just outside of the city across the Delaware River. Fun fact, Cinnaminson is derived from a native american word meaning, “sweet water”. I remember coming home from my new school in tears, mainly because I was embarrassed to be academically so far behind my peers. In fact, I had trouble reading anything at all!
